HAY’s ambition is to encourage Danish furniture designs to return to the innovative greatness of the 1950′s and 1960′s but in a contemporary context.
HAY always circles around architecture, sustainable design and high quality at affordable prices. In striving to design the perfect product, HAY embrace space, new technology, and society and, seek to understand the premises of modern life.
The new J110J77J107J104 dining chairs and C44 tables are part of a relaunch of the Danish furniture classics originally made for FDB  (The Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society).
Functionalist and democratic design for the people, was the main idea behind the furniture production started by FDB in the 1940s. By shifting to industrial production and thus deceasing the costs FDB pushed forward the availability of designer furniture for ordinary people by making high quality design furniture at relatively low prices.
